Inside PGS8 with Team Falcons – Capturing the Spirit of Esports in Shanghai

We had the exciting opportunity to document Team Falcons at the PUBG Global Series 8 (PGS8), one of the most prestigious international esports tournaments of the year, held in Shanghai, China. With teams from around the world converging on a single stage, PGS8 wasn’t just about gameplay—it was about strategy, pressure, performance, and passion.

Our focus was on Team Falcons, a powerhouse team known for their sharp tactics and disciplined gameplay. Leading the charge was TGLTN, one of the world’s top-ranked PUBG players. From the moment we stepped into the venue, we knew we were capturing something special—not just the gameplay, but the story behind the players and the atmosphere surrounding one of esports’ fastest-growing titles.

Behind the Scenes: Esports at Its Most Human

Our coverage began well before the matches. We followed the team into pre-match huddles, where energy was high and strategy sessions were laser-focused. Under the intense stage lights, the Falcons gathered, blocking out the noise and zoning in on their game plan. These quiet, intimate moments often go unseen by fans, but they are where team chemistry and competitive spirit come alive.

We captured:

  • Cinematic team huddles before matches

  • Close-ups of TFLTN and other players as they focused in-game

  • Stage walkouts and lighting setups that set the tone for every match

  • In-between moments of calm, reflection, and light-hearted interactions

As the matches began, the stadium transformed into a battleground of anticipation and reaction. Every callout, every takedown, and every clutch moment was amplified by the energy in the room.

Why Esports Coverage Matters

As esports continues to grow globally, the demand for high-quality, story-driven content is higher than ever. Teams, sponsors, and organizers are all looking for more than highlight reels—they want content that connects with fans and shows the dedication behind the plays.

At events like PGS8, we aim to blend cinematic visuals, real-time emotion, and team storytelling into one cohesive package.

We approached this project the way we approach all of our esports content: with storytelling at the forefront. Our goal wasn’t just to capture the gameplay—it was to showcase what makes esports teams like Falcons truly elite. Through slow-motion sequences, reaction shots, and wide-angle views of the venue, we created a visual narrative that reflects the high stakes and the real people behind the screens.
